Quality Drives Us

As a supplier of make-to-order machined parts and assemblies for quality-driven industries such as Aerospace and Defense, quality must be embedded in our process. And it is.

From trained operators who perform in-processes SPC (Statistical Process Control) to meet stringent inspection standards, to certified and calibrated equipment, we employ an overall Quality Management System that guides everything we do.

In addition, D&E:

Uses an external calibration lab

that is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994. This lab maintains all gage calibration electronically and performs on and off-site calibration services.

Inspects products against industry standards,

both in process and at final inspection. Inspection capability is to PPAP/FAAT/FAI standards.

Maintains internal inspection equipment

that includes an optical comparator with edge-find technology and is capable of profile inspection with contour trace inspection. D&E also uses automated and manual CMMs.

Tracks and identifies non-conforming material

through its Infor Visual ERP software system, any non-confirming product is clearly identified, documented and properly dispositioned.

Has a dedicated team for Continuous Improvement and Corrective Actions.

This team meets weekly to identify opportunities for improvement and to address corrective actions. Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools are employed and projects are tracked using Infor Visual.
